What happens in a Reiki Session?
In Person
The client treatment form will be discussed and filled in together. A client may wish to fill this in prior to their session too.
An explanation of Reiki is given as well as the range of sensations a client may experience. These may include feeling hot and cold, tingling, extreme relaxation, a gurgling stomach or heighten emotions and emotional releases. It is also very common to see colours, imagery and receive messages as well.
I ask if there is a specific part of the body that can be focused on or, an emotion such as fear, worry, self-worth, confidence etc although this is not essential to the process.
The candle-lit room is then cleansed with sage and I offer a prayer of protection and intention calling in my guides and angels to help assist me in the healing session.
The client decides whether they wish to have music in the background or silence. Due to the intuitive nature of the session, please note that the following may also be used –
singing bowls, crystal/s, affirmations, mudras, oracle cards and tapping.
Once the client’s body is covered with a blanket, relaxed and comfortable, the laying on and hovering of hands (covered in the treatment form) takes place as does the working through the chakras as I conduct the healing.
Before I close the treatment, I sweep down the body from the crown to the feet. The healing comes to an end when I place my hands on the client’s shoulder and ask them to take their time bringing themselves back into the room.
I then discuss the aftercare that comes with each session.
Aftercare
• Reiki increases energy shifts around the body which in turn expel toxins which allows for a cleansing process to take place
• Drink lots of water
• Try not to drive
• Refrain from taking drugs to mask any pain after a session. Pain needs to come out so the body can heal again
• Avoid sugary foods and alcohol
• Go to sleep early if you feel more tired than usual
I always wish to hear feedback and welcome this for discussion and to make notes for possible further treatments. This can take place after the healing if needed.
Distant Session
An initial consultation will take place over the phone where the client treatment form will be discussed and filled in together. A client may wish to fill this in prior to their session too.

It is also very common to see colours, imagery and receive messages as well.

The client can choose to enjoy the healing after the session time ends or set an alarm if they wish to continue with their daily activities. I then discuss the aftercare that comes with each session prior to starting.

Following this, I cleanse the room with sage and offer a prayer of protection and intention and call in my guides and angels to help assist me in the healing session. I set-up a sacred space with candles, crystals, oracle cards, flowers and or similar items that I feel may resonate with the client about to receive the healing.
I ask that they lay down somewhere quiet and comfortable before I start sending distance reiki working through the chakras as I conduct the healing.
Before I close the treatment, I sweep down the body from the crown to the feet.
In conclusion, I send a photo of the sacred set-up, the meanings of the oracle cards pulled and an audio/voice note of my findings. I always wish to hear feedback and welcome this for discussion and to make notes for possible further treatments. Clients are welcome to text, email or phone me for discussion.
Please note. This intuitive reiki session takes place remotely and will not be open to any video or social media platform while it takes place.
Children Reiki Sessions
Should a client of mine be a child (under 16 years of age), I ask that the parent / guardian to the child be present throughout the entire duration of the reiki session.
The child client, parent / guardian and myself will discuss the client treatment form at the beginning of the session, where I will then ask the parent / guardian to sign it on behalf of the child.
COVID-19
Every necessary precaution will take place in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 Coronavirus
before, during and after each session.
I will wash my hands in accordance with the Government guidelines before the start of your treatment and after your treatment has finished.
I can also wear gloves if requested.
I will wear a mask throughout your treatment.
Appointment Cancellation Policy
If cancelling your appointment is necessary, please kindly call or text me at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Once I’ve returned your communication, we can reschedule the slot. M: 07582 016 445.
- If prior notice within this time frame is not received, you will be charged for half (50%) of the missed appointment.
- Failure to turn up to a confirmed appointment without cancelling is considered a no-show. This will also result in a charge of half (50%) of the missed appointment.
